The Twelve Moods
The Twelve Moods of the planets in each sign of the zodiac, as rendered by Rudolf Steiner for eurythmy in 1915, and performed at the opening of the First Goetheanum, in September 1920. The Moods are comprised of 12 stanzas of 7 lines each (one line for each planet), always in the same sequence and meant to reveal how the moods of the planets transform through the circle of the zodiac. Though the 12 Moods were intended for speech and eurythmy, a contemplation of each planet and each sign, as included here, may deepen a sense of one’s experience of the cosmic script.
